It's no secret that I love Elliott Smith. Back in early 2006 I had borrowed my friend Kenny Walker's digital 8-track (I believe mine wasn't working for some reason), and I recorded this cover of a favorite unreleased track.

Listening to it now, I'm not all that impressed (obviously Elliott's is better!). But even though this was never in the running for inclusion on Terra Firma, it was recorded around the same time, so I guess it's from that session.

I find it funny how this and The Best Part both have that sort of OTP 2005 boppita-bop upbeat sound with straining vocals.

I put it up for download, but do yourself a favor and listen to Elliott's version instead.
